Job Description:
Under the direct supervision of the Health System Strengthening Coordinator and the overall supervision of the WHO Representative Pakistan, the Project Assistant will:
1. Facilitate the working of the Health System and Policy Unit and all interventions for Health System Strengthening and improving MNCH care in Pakistan.
2. Understand and assist in managing project outputs and activities, project controls, project correspondence, and project reporting related to health systems strengthening.
3. Become completely familiar with all project documents.
4. Assist in developing the project work plan and subsequently facilitate its implementation.
5. Set up and maintain the project management information system to provide necessary document control and project implementation.
6. Develop and maintain project work schedule using appropriate software with inputs from other project management personnel.
7. Assist in correspondence with local/international consultants, vendors.
8. Update project action item lists as required with inputs from project management.
9. Assist in coordinating all technical issues with the project management, Health Systems and Policy Unit, and other stakeholders.
10. Assist in maintaining effective communications with all HSS team members
11. Assist project management personnel to anticipate and avoid or minimize potential problems by maintaining current knowledge of overall project status.
12. Assist in preparing quality work, meeting requirements of plans, specifications, and relevant industry standards.
13. Attending phone calls and disseminating messages to relevant officials.
14. Management of appointments, tele-conferences, audio-conferences and meetings.
15. Perform other tasks as and when required.
